Within the first seven days, they had us in the national press. Since then, the opportunities haven’t stopped, from TV and radio appearances to features in every major national and regional outlet, plus international coverage in places like the New York Post. Ready to scale your business with Digital PR?

What to expect when hiring our digital PR company

With hundreds of digital public relation agencies to choose from why us?

Winning PR Strategy

We always start with a digital PR strategy.

What’s your goal, how quickly do you want to get there, who are your competitors and what do we need to do to make a meaningful impact on your business.

Once we can answer those questions we can begin thinking of creative campaigns

Strong Campaign Ideas

With many years of experience in digital PR, our staff have a tried and trusted framework for developing ideas that get coverage in regional, national and international publications.

Our team will come up with creative ideas that are newsworthy and fit your brand voice.

We will then validate these ideas so we can cut down on the time it takes to get your business authoritative placements.

High-Tier Links

Gone are the days when you could buy backlinks and expect to rank on page one of Google.

Most SEO agencies are still buying links, but if your SEO strategy relies on paid placements, it’s already outdated. Today, Google rewards genuine authority and that comes from earning links through high-quality, newsworthy content.

Getting featured in authoritative media outlets sends strong signals to Google that you’re a trusted voice in your industry. And it’s not just about dofollow links, earning a natural mix of both dofollow and nofollow links from reputable sources is key to building a healthy backlink profile and boosting your site’s rankings over the long term.

Diverse backlink profile

Traditional link building often results in an unnatural backlink profile, which can hold your website back from reaching its full ranking potential.

Digital PR, on the other hand, earns backlinks the way Google intends, through genuine media coverage. By running strategic PR campaigns, we help you build a diverse, natural backlink profile that aligns with Google’s expectations.

We target national, regional, and trade publications to secure high-quality coverage that not only drives brand awareness and traffic but also improves your search visibility. Importantly, earning backlinks through real coverage gives you a healthy mix of both dofollow and nofollow links which an essential factor in building long-term, sustainable SEO results.

A healthy mix of both dofollow and nofollow links is important because it signals to Google that your backlinks have been earned naturally. If your site only receives dofollow links especially from similar types of sites or in a short timeframe it can look suspicious and manipulative, potentially triggering manual reviews or algorithmic penalties.

In reality, reputable websites often link out using a combination of both link types. For example, major media outlets like BBC, CNN, or Forbes typically use nofollow links for editorial control, and Google still sees these links as trust signals, even if they don’t directly pass PageRank.

By earning links from a variety of sources (national, regional, niche) and a natural mix of link types, you build a backlink profile that looks organic and trustworthy in Google’s eyes, leading to long-term, sustainable SEO growth rather than short-term gains with risky tactics.

Campaigns that get links

Whether we’re using surveys, in-house data, or expert commentary, every campaign we run is designed to be both creative and strategically valuable. Our stories aren’t just interesting—they’re built with purpose, helping to support your SEO, social media marketing, and overall brand awareness.

We craft campaigns that journalists actually want to cover, which means you earn backlinks from trusted publications rather than buying them. These earned links contribute to a natural mix of dofollow and nofollow coverage, essential for building a strong, credible backlink profile that supports long-term search engine growth.

Inner Page Links

While homepage backlinks improve your expertise, authoritativeness and trust (E-A-T), your inner pages such as categories and product pages need love too.

While inner page links are difficult to earn from online PR, we can help get your best pages in front of your target audience.

When working with us we will discuss an overall digital PR strategy with you to make sure you get the best return on your investment.

Speedy digital marketing campaigns

As a digital PR agency that offers creative PR campaigns, we know that creating quality campaigns at speed means that our clients can get more media coverage in the long term.

We specialise in small to medium PR campaigns that help us diversify risk and increase the chance of landing new referring domains to your website.

What some PR companies do in six months we can do in one.

"Always on" digital PR services

The news never stops, and neither should digital PR agencies.

As a digital PR firm we keep an eye on the news to monitor for relevant opportunities to “News Jack”.

We closely monitor breaking stories and trends to position you as an expert to relevant journalists. This ensures your company gets relevant backlinks and brand mentions from authoritative sources.

Simple and understandable reporting

Working with a digital agency shouldn’t be difficult, we only report on the KPIs that matter and we do so in a simple and understandable format.

All clients on signup will get a project tracker that shows what ideas are being created, when they are being pitched, when they have earned coverage and performance metrics such as domain authority and website traffic.

This is to show you that we only earn links from authoritative domains that make the numbers in your Google Analytics increase. No guest posts here.

Onboarding

If you are a fit for our digital PR services we will have taken payment and will have sent you our onboarding questionnaire.

Filling this form out will take around 15 minutes and it gives us the basics to start preparing for PR campaigns that drive media coverage.

Digital PR Strategy

While digital PR is about earning quality links to your website, we need to know how many we need to create, where we need to create them and why we are creating them.

When we understand all of the above we can create a strategy that makes a meaningful impact on your business.

Whether you want more search visibility, increased website traffic, increased brand recognition, more authority, more sales or a combination of the above, our digital PR strategy will help you to get where you need to be.

Campaign Ideation

Our digital PR agency loves coming up with creative campaigns that fit your brand voice.

It’s one of the most difficult things to do but getting it right can get your business mentioned on the biggest websites in the world.

It can also lead to TV show appearances, radio mentions and much more.

We check all our ideas against our battle-tested PR campaign framework to ensure you get the most out of your investment.

Data Collection

As a public relations agency, we know that data is one of the best ways to present unique content to journalists.

Our in-house team collects data to find stories that your customers will be interested in.

We then use this data in our campaigns to make them more newsworthy.

Digital PR campaign creation

With strategy, ideation and data collection out of the way, our online PR team then begin to create stories out of your data, as well as any infographics, imagery or video to make your story stand out from the crowd.

We will then roll this up into a press release before sending it out to a targeted list of journalists.

Digital PR Outreach

We use our in-house proprietary software to find journalists who are most likely to talk about your campaign.

Our outreach is personalised and targeted so that we continue to build strong media relations. As a brand, you can benefit from this as journalists often reach to us for quotes when they know we have clients in certain industries.

Ultimately this means you can expect more media coverage by tailoring your outreach.

Reporting

We will report throughout the month on the KPIs that matter the most to you.

Whether this is links, social media shares, campaign views or something else, all clients get a project tracker that shows all the links earned and this is updated in real-time.

When you hire us as your online PR agency you never have to worry about being in the dark.

You can access your project tracker 24/7 to know what is going on.

Digital PR FAQs

Some questions we get about our service

Do I need a normal link builder or digital pr link builder?

Traditional link-building methods like guest posting, skyscraper outreach, broken link building, and even niche edits still have their place and can be useful in the right context. However, if your competitors are consistently earning media mentions and backlinks from high-authority publications, relying solely on these older tactics won’t be enough.

To close the link gap and stay competitive, especially as a growing or established brand in a saturated market, you’ll need the kind of authority signals that only digital PR can provide. Earning links through newsworthy, creative campaigns helps you land stronger backlinks, boost your search rankings, and ultimately drive more sales.

You can book a discovery call to learn more.

What if your campaign doesn't get us links?

After speaking with many business owners it was clear that they have been burned in the past where they have spent upwards of £10,000 on a digital pr agency and haven’t landed any links or coverage.

To take away the risk of working with us we will guarantee a set number of links depending on your budget and if we don’t get those links we will work for free until we do. Please see our link building guarantee for full details.

What is DR or DA when you talk about links?

Domain rating or domain authority is something that links are graded on by tools such as Ahrefs, Moz or SEMRush.

Most SEO agencies or link building services will sell you links based on their DA score.  (The higher the better and more expensive).

When you work with us we try to get you as many links as possible, often in the region of DR70, DR80 and DR90+

These are the best links in the world and come from sites like The Guardian, The Mirror, The Times, The Sun, Digital Journal, The Express, Washington Post, Forbes and many other places.

Are there other fees such as paying for links?

There are no other fees when you hire us.  We don’t pay for links as all of our links are earned.

Not only do you get links from the biggest publications but our process is scaleable and allows us to get aggressive with link building as your business grows. Want more links, you can simply pay for more campaigns.

I tired a press release before it did nothing, why is this different?

That’s a common experience and it usually comes down to how the press release was distributed. Most press release syndication services simply blast your content out to hundreds of low-value websites, many of which aren’t indexed by Google or read by real people. The result? Your announcement ends up buried on forgotten pages, with no impact on SEO, brand visibility, or media interest.

Our approach is completely different.

We don’t just send content out into the void. We create genuinely newsworthy campaign and whether that’s expert commentary, data-led insights, or engaging consumer stories.  We then pitch these stories to carefully selected journalists at top-tier publications. This means your brand has the chance to be featured in places like BBC, Forbes, The Sun, Business Insider, and Yahoo, outlets that real audiences trust and Google values.

It’s not just about getting coverage. It’s about earning high-quality links and media mentions that actually move the needle for your SEO, brand authority, and sales. That’s why digital PR is so much more powerful and effective than traditional press release distribution.

What anchor text can I use for my website?

When we pitch stories to the media, we always use your brand name as the anchor text where possible. However, it’s important to understand that journalists have full editorial control, and they may choose to link in a variety of ways. This could include your brand name, a naked URL like yourwebsite.com, a full link such as https://www.yourwebsite.com, or even more generic phrases like “see the full study here.”

While this might seem inconsistent, it’s actually a positive thing for SEO. A natural mix of anchor texts helps build a more organic backlink profile, which search engines like Google tend to reward. Relying too heavily on one type of anchor, especially keyword-rich ones, can appear manipulative and may even lead to penalties. A wide variety of anchor texts looks more authentic and helps improve your site’s authority in a sustainable way.

Do you offer refunds?

We don’t offer refunds on digital PR campaigns once work has begun. This is because campaigns involve upfront strategy, research, data analysis, content creation, and press outreach that cannot be reversed.

Rather than offering refunds, we operate on a link guarantee. This means we continue working for the agreed fee until all of the links promised as part of your campaign have been delivered, regardless of how long it takes.

Digital PR is an earned media process, and outcomes are influenced by editorial decisions and news cycles outside of our control. While timelines can vary, our commitment is simple: we don’t stop until the agreed results are achieved.

Are results guaranteed?

We guarantee the delivery of the number of links outlined in your agreed campaign scope. We do not guarantee specific publications, traffic increases, rankings, revenue outcomes, or timeframes, as these are influenced by editorial decisions and external factors outside of our control.

Can results vary between industries?

Yes. Media demand, competition, and editorial interest differ by industry. While our process remains the same, timelines and types of coverage can vary depending on how news-driven your sector is at the time of outreach.

Is digital PR the same as guest posting?

No. Digital PR focuses on earning coverage through newsworthy stories and data-led insights. We do not sell links, control editorial output, or place content on sites we own or manage.

How long does a campaign take?

Most digital PR campaigns are completed within 30 to 60 days. However, because this is a genuine earned-media service, timelines can vary. Some campaigns land coverage quickly, while others take longer depending on factors such as the news cycle, seasonal relevance, and editorial decisions made by journalists.

It’s also important to note that holiday periods and seasonal downtime can slow outreach, as journalists are often unavailable during these times. These periods are not included within the 30–60 day estimate and may extend the overall timeline.

Our approach involves creating data-led stories and pitching them to the press. Some ideas gain traction immediately, while others require refining or re-pitching with alternative angles. When this happens, we adapt and continue working until coverage is secured.

All timeframes are estimates rather than fixed deadlines, but our link guarantee means we continue working for our fee until all promised links are delivered.

Can you build links in adult or gambling niches?

Yes we can, we have many clients in the gambling and adult space.

I have an affiliate program, if the press link using an affiliate link is it still counted as one of my links

After working with dozens of clients who run affiliate programs, we know this question comes up a lot.

Yes, if a journalist links to your site using an affiliate link, it still counts as one of your guaranteed links. Our job is to get you featured and linked in the media, how the journalist chooses to link is ultimately up to them.

If you’d prefer they don’t use affiliate links, the only way to fully prevent it is to temporarily disable your affiliate program while the campaign is running.

Can you guarantee that you will get me links in X site.

We encourage all of our clients to share their dream publications and we will always aim high when pitching your campaign. However, we cannot guarantee placement on any specific website, as all coverage is subject to editorial discretion.

Our guarantee is based on the total number of qualifying links delivered, not the specific publications or the number of unique domains.

For example, a campaign could result in:

• 2 links from The Sun
• 1 link from The Express
• 2 links from MSN

Provided each link meets the agreed DR threshold, they would count toward your guaranteed total.

Digital PR coverage is earned organically. Publishers may choose to cover a story multiple times or syndicate it across related media properties. We guarantee the agreed number of qualifying links, not placements on specific sites or a fixed number of unique websites.

Will all the links be do-follow?

The short answer is no.

Most high-authority publication, whether mainstream media like The Sun, Express, Mirror, or respected industry titles like Ideal Home, Country Living, Cosmopolitan, or Forbes  will use nofollow links as standard. That’s their editorial policy, and it applies regardless of the content or the PR agency behind it.

We don’t guarantee a specific dofollow vs nofollow ratio, and no reputable Digital PR agency should.  We wrote a guide on dofollow vs nofollow links and why nofollow links are needed to rank.

However, Google has made it clear that nofollow links from authoritative, trusted sources still contribute to your site’s credibility and can pass ranking signals. We’ve also seen this in our own testing, pages with strong nofollow coverage often see improvements in visibility and organic rankings.

If you’re only interested in dofollow links, Digital PR may not be the right fit. The true value lies in earning links from the same publications that your competitors are using to outrank you, closing that link gap is often what moves the needle in competitive search results.

In SEO, it’s not just about the type of link, it’s about where the link comes from, and what it tells Google about your authority.

What percentage of the links will be dofollow?

It’s impossible to give an exact percentage, as every campaign is different. Some campaigns may earn you five dofollow links, others just one or maybe none, it all depends on the publications that pick up the story.

What matters more than whether a link is dofollow is the authority of the site linking to you. For example, if you earned five links from Forbes, BBC, The Mirror, Financial Times, and Ideal Home, and they were all nofollow, Google would still reward your site because those links come from highly trusted, authoritative sources.  You can read more about nofollow links here.

A natural, balanced link profile that includes both dofollow and nofollow links is exactly what Google wants to see. That’s why our focus is always on earning high-quality coverage from reputable publications that build trust, boost visibility, and deliver long-term SEO value.

Are nofollow links useful?

Yes, nofollow links are absolutely useful, especially when earned through a well-executed digital PR strategy.

While traditional SEO thinking once dismissed nofollow links as having “no value,” that mindset is now outdated.

When you earn both dofollow and nofollow links from trusted, high-authority sources, you’re sending powerful trust and authority signals to Google. Even beyond links, brand mentions, citations, and increased visibility help position your business as an expert in your field and Google notices that. The algorithm doesn’t just rely on link attributes, it also considers branded search volume, user behaviour, engagement signals, and how often people are visiting your site.

What’s more, the recent Google leak revealed that nofollow links from high-quality, high-traffic websites likely do pass value. According to the leaked documentation, Google uses an internal indexing tier system categorising pages as high, medium, or low quality based on various factors like click data and freshness. If a nofollow link appears on a page in the high-quality tier, such as a news article on BBC, Forbes, or The Guardian, it can still pass PageRank and contribute to your site’s SEO performance.

Conversely, a dofollow link on a low-tier site may carry little or no weight and could even be ignored by Google entirely.

This reinforces why nofollow links shouldn’t be overlooked.  To see why a mixture of nofollow and dofollow links are needed read our guide.

In digital PR, the goal isn’t just to chase dofollow links, it’s to earn meaningful, editorially-placed mentions from authoritative publications that Google trusts. When your brand appears on those kinds of platforms, whether the link is followed or not, you’re building a stronger foundation for long-term SEO success.

Are timelines guaranteed?

No. All timelines provided are estimates only. Campaign delivery is subject to news cycles, seasonal relevance, journalist availability, and editorial decision-making.

What websites do you get your clients on?

When it comes to digital PR, we always start by targeting publications where your ideal customers actually spend time reading. Rather than chasing links for the sake of it, we focus on relevance and visibility—earning coverage in places your audience already trusts. Whether you’re looking to reach homeowners, business professionals, parents, or Gen Z consumers, we tailor our outreach to match the publications that matter most to your brand and industry.

Our clients have been featured in a wide range of top-tier and niche publications including the Daily Mail, Metro, Yahoo, Huffington Post, The Sun, Daily Express, Daily Mirror, Forbes, CNN, Ideal Home, T3, CNBC, Business Insider, LAD Bible, Fox News, Herald Scotland, Northern Echo, BBC, Entrepreneur, Manchester Evening News, The Independent, USA Today, Miami Herald, and many more.

Do you do digital PR in the UK, USA or anywhere else?

We do digital PR in the UK and the USA.  If you need help with online PR in either location get in touch.

What happens if a publication makes factual errors?

We make every reasonable effort to ensure accuracy, but final editorial control rests with the publisher. We cannot guarantee corrections, edits, or removals once content is published.

Can you remove links if requested?

Once links are live, we do not control publisher content and cannot guarantee removal or modification of links on third-party websites.

Are links placed ethically and in line with search engine guidelines?

Yes. All links are earned through legitimate digital PR outreach. We do not sell links, participate in link schemes, or place content on private networks.

Where are your offices?

We have offices in Cardiff, London and Manchester but serve the whole of the UK.
